I’m always amazed how few people know about Gamergate. It’s not only the key to understanding so many violent harassment campaigns going on today, it’s lots of the same people angry about the same stuff using the same playbook.
Anyone who banked on this movie tanking because of its perceived lack of quality is a retard who apparently hasn't noticed any of the countless capeshit atrocities that have grossed 600 mill + over the past decade.

At this point I really can't accept what Disney and RT and Youtube and IMDB are clearly doing behind the scenes. Like it can't be a coincidence that they all come together to defend this movie by doing overt media manipulation. This is full on corporate collusion to mislead the public that goes way beyond your regular typical marketing, if this were on any other topic or industry there would be (or should be, at least) calls for investigation on consumer rights grounds. Like imagine a car company being in bed with car review sites full on twisting the scores. At what point do we consider this some type of fraud and misdirection? That's not even to mentioned how unprincipled it is to do censorship like that in general. People should be more outraged at this, and should be wondering how much of this kind of manipulation occurs where they don't have obsessive fans monitoring. At this point criticism of these tactics being derided and mocked is full on exercise in corporate power and a disgrace to us as humans.
