what sucks now is if you play a non-nintendo console, buying the physical copies of games is worthless because you still have to download the entire game onto the hard drive to play it, it just adds the step of having to also have the disc in the console when you want to play it, but im a boomer tier gamer and still play my snes and n64.

Installing another launcher is just like cheating.

Your other launcher is sitting there, on the desktop/taskbar, looking at you having fun playing games through the other. You're already emotionally attached to the original one but circumstances force you to use the other one to have fun.

I don't know why people are freaking out about epic exclusives, its developer freedom, they can choose whatever the fuck they want to do. Just don't do shit like what metro and this game are doing where they do this bait and switch kinda thing.

Small game studios are generally best served in the long term by cultivating a dedicated fanbase. Taking a dump in your fanbases lap on the eve of your game being released for a one-time cash infusion is a gamble. Not sure it will pay off for them.

Also, this looks like a frightfully generic mobile-tier strategy game, so pissing off the couple of autists who would care about this enough to donate seems risky.

I think it's mostly because the devs promised it would be on steam and gog at launch. I haven't really been following it though.

I get the outrage in terms of people living in areas(China) where the Launcher isn't available, because it sounds like they were the ones fucked with. otherwise yawn, it's another(shitty) launcher, big deal.

The exclusive with Epic only lasts a year. It ususally takes about that amount of time in modern games for all the game breakingbugs and glitches to get ironed out either by updates or 3rd party mods.
