The privacy function hides whether it is quarantined. I wouldn't be surprised if they were hit with one given what the admin is taking down today. Also, I expect the admin will let them appeal it easily when the drama passes.
I haven't experienced that, every quarantined sub I've gone to has explicitly said it was quarantined and not just set to private.
