I thought all this was common knowledge. I went to an elite private high school for my region, and the cards were pretty much face up. How the fuck are you gonna fail a kid whose last name is on one of the buildings you teach classes in?
One teacher tried to stand by her principles...She got cucked and chucked at the speed of light. Insta-“we have reviewed your contract and..” I spoke with her years later, even though she gave me horrible grades. Came out okay, definitely proud of her for testing the bastards.
Also depends largely on the degree. I have a 4.1 as a Grad student because I'm an English major and there's one professor who basically gave an A+ to everything I wrote after I strategically cited his favorite philosopher in a paper.
I doubt that I put more work into grad coursework than a STEM undergrad puts into a single semester. I'm guessing most chapos had similarly lax workloads.
