i wasn't doxxed, but i don't enjoy reddit as much as i used to. it feels like an addiction or a distraction at the moment and it's surprisingly sad how often i am noticing myself think "oh you should take a picture of this and share it" or "that's a funny story you should post this", i don't seem to enjoy doing things for the sake of it any more and rather it's me trying to get reactions out of people, whether that's disgust or laughter. last month i challenged myself to take a week off reddit because i noticed i was on it too much, i lasted 2 days and then started coming back on now, so recently i just thought fuck it i need to be able to go more than 2 days without going on here, that's not healthy. i was going to write something more in depth but i really just need to stop coming on here for a while, i said a month to myself so i'll go for that. the more time i spend on reddit, the less time i spend doing other things and it's not worth it for me. i see people spending so much time on social media and said i never wanted to be like them but i have become like that. so ill probably make a blog/video/something in a few weeks just to talk about it properly because i think a lot of people will be in similar positions and won't be aware of it or willing to try and change.

there's a lot on my mind at the moment so i just need to step back and think about what i should do now.

Nairaland is the premier forum for Nigerians. Nigeria like many countries has a bunch of ethnic groups that haven't learned to get along, and one of the dominant ones is the Igbo. I don't know what's going on here but my guess is that either the major ethnic groups in the Niger Delta were initially Igbo and formed their own identity over a long period of time and/or that religious factors cause the Niger Delta to break from the Igbo umbrella, or that the OP is a crazy Igbo supremacist

A lot of this dates back to the Biafran war in the 60s, where the Igbo controlled South Eastern third of the Nigeria declared independence.

Despite their defeat, many Igbo still dream of declaring independence again. A part of establishing their argument for independence means claiming that all who live in the Biafran region are Igbo, despite that fact that many of them never identified that way

The fulani were once nomadic and have people all over sub-sarahan africa. Under British colonialism the fulani in Nigeria would settle in the northeast. They're generally grouped with the more numerous Hausa, hence Hausa-Fulani.

The Yoruba are a mix of Muslims and Christians who primarily live in West Nigeria. Together along with the Igbo and Hausa-Fulani, they make up the big three of Nigerian ethnic blocks.

Igbos are basically the (((them))) of Nigeria and Nigerians are already the (((them))) of Africa. Igbos have had a society that encouraged commerce and they've been able to build on that to at times dominate Nigerian politics and be disproportionately wealthy compared to other major ethnic groups like the Yoruba and the Hausa. Things Fall Apart is about how Igbo society reacts to the British colonization and gives an interesting view of their practices.

They're like india; there's a large population of well-educated middle and upper-class people and the country wields a high regional cultural influence because of its entertainment industry, but proportionally the majority of people are dirt poor, the government is corrupt, there's trash everywhere, there is religious tension and ethnic groups that hate each other, etc. At least this is my understanding
