I lived in a place with zero wall insulation, and there was a string of abusive couples that moved in and out over the course of a couple years. The last one was a quiet, kind of dim guy who seemed really sweet and his fucking headcase of a girlfriend. Every day there'd be at least one horrible hours-long argument and/or extremely loud sex and it was like if I was in the room with them. One day I caught the girl outside and implied that I could hear everything, and she smirked at me and said 'i'll try to keep it down' or someshit but then she just started having louder sex! So one day I woke up to them arguing as per usual and heard her hit him. I pounced on the opportunity and called the cops, which was the action that finally got the guy to dump the bitch, and they both moved out.
