Running a real estate empire doesn't sufficiently qualify you for the presidency but entry-level foodservice wagecucking is more than enough of a resume for the legislature.
Hate to geographypost you but flooding is obviously an environmental issue with a lot of anthropogenic causes and there’s plenty you can do to stop it.
On a wider level climate change as a whole makes bad weather worse and more frequent, which obviously leads to more rain and more flooding. More locally, poor urban land management means more impermeable surfaces like concrete, this means more rain enters the river as it can’t be soaked up by the ground, and also shortens the lag time for water to reach the river channel, so it all arrives at once which increase the peak discharge of the river causing it to flood. Deforestation can also increase flooding. Usually the leaves of the trees will intercept the rain as it falls, and the extra time it takes the water to reach the ground stops the soil getting saturated and increases the lag time which reduces the possibility of flooding. The tree can also store some water itself which stops it reaching the river channel all together during the storm. Drainage channels built into land are lethal too since they funnel water straight into the river, decreasing lag time etc etc.
Yeah, but it's because of a fairly unusual event that could have happened without climate change. Ice jams on rivers partially melted while still remaining when a shit ton of water dumped itself onto nearly every river, and with the ground frozen, the runoff just stayed on the ground for the most part.
Happened about 6 years ago too. Whenever the Midwest gets a ton of snow and then warms up really fast floods happen. Not unusual for this area climate wise at all.
It’s pretty bad but not some apocalyptic shit. People have lost homes but luckily, most of the Midwest is pretty damn good at banding together and not waiting for others to rescue them.
Also can commie mommy not use our plight for political gain? Thanks
Hitler was legit a natural, though. He only went into politics in the first place after accidentally discovering he was a good orator (the first thing he was ever good at), and was able to get 38% of the country to vote for him in spite of an openly retarded platform.
There's a reason most of her quotables come from her fucking twitter. Her high pitched valley gurl voice smacks you right in the face as soon as she opens her teeth.
Saying something is an elitist issue doesn't mean what she think it means. It is about if the far future is your biggest concern or worry, you are doing quite well.
Lmao of every social science there is there is probably none that are as credible as economics. Unless you think the reason countries like Ireland, S. Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. transformed from rural backwaters to thriving first world nations strictly because of reasons that cannot be explained or replicated and economic growth and declines is kinda just a thing that happens sometimes.
None of that has to do with the definition of what a science.
It’s a social science, which employs different study design/methodology due to necessity. As a result it has lesser predictive power than findings within the traditional sciences physics, chemistry, biology, etc. As such the applications of economic findings are subject to a greater degree of political influence/bias due to this weaker predictive power which allows flexibility in the extrapolation of economic findings/models onto policy.
Reminds me of one of those girls in everyone's groups of friends who pretends to get all angry to try to assert more social dominance and then everyone laughs
Her worst sin was grouping Iowa and Nebraska together as If the flooding was at all comparable or our people were at all similar. She could have just said Nebraskans but she’s gotta get her sound byte for her primary in 15 years.

Rivers are flooding because of rain, but that's pretty normalish.
