Notley is in no way comparable to AOC. Notley is centre left, but she isn't suicidal like AOC. Kenney is like if you took Chris Christie, and another ambitious, yet stupid Republican and they had a baby. Kenney wants to become the Prime Minister really badly, the Primer of Alberta is a stepping stone to that.
He's promoting some "Gibs Gibs", like how he'll exclude use from Canada's new mortgage rules, which he has no power to control. He wants to slash taxes and royalty rates, but has no wealth fund or any idea how he'll fund all these court cases he wants with the Federal government.

Kenny is a dirty snake, but Albertans have a shit ton of money and don’t like Notley taking it away. Kenny says he’s going to get rid of the carbon tax and be more aggressive for the pipeline (maybe fighting against oil contributing to equalization payments). When our entire economy is based off of oil, someone saying they’ll support it as priority # 1 seems like a good idea to most.
