When were we supposed to start giving a shit about these people? I must have called in sick the day we had that meeting. Does Ben Kuchera get this deeply invested into the personal lives of the people who fix his car or pave the roads he drives on? How many sleepless nights has he spent worrying about the mental health of the police who protect him?
There’s a lot to unpack in this paragraph. The first sentence is baffling: Why does BioWare prioritize criticisms from players when the topic is the working conditions of its developers?
This r-slur may have actually reached adulthood, or I should say manchildhood, without ever hearing the phrase "the customer is always right".
But my favorite part is Manveer "I drink w-slur tears" Heir saying he's "a person who left BioWare in 2017 with massive depression and anxiety that has taken me a while to get through and recover from". So all the smug racist bullshit was just a mask to hide his own feelings of worthlessness? I for one am absolutely shocked.

A cynical person might even think that Schreier gave Kuchera some hints about what he was going to write. Kuchera thinks it's going to be more about the "game devs shouldn't have to work hard" angle and writes his own piece along those lines. So then he drops that even though it has very little to do with the boring pablum that Schreier spewed out or BioWare's response to it.
