Obituary for my dog

35  2019-04-07 by cuuuuuuck

My dog ran away, and at this point I don't think I'm going to be able to find her. She was a good dog, about a year old, and she helped me through quite a bit, and she was there for me when everyone else abandoned me and left me for dead. I remember when I was homeless I found her on the street abandoned as well, and from there I adopted her and we made the most of it together. She was sweet and intelligent, and I owe her my life as she woke me up while was sleeping and saved me from another mugging. After that she was with me when I started reassimilating to normalcy, and she was with me when was living out of my car trying to figure things out. It's unfortunate it had to end this way, and as long as I don't find a body I can only assume the next person adopted her, and I hope she continues to do well from there. It was getting too expensive to care for her anyway, so this was for the best.

If you were so loving and caring to her, why’d she run away?

Dogs go into heat, she was looking for a knot. She'll come back if she was meant to.

What a roastie

Aren't we all looking for the knot in some way, shape, or form?

😢🤧😭

Hi op. I found your dog. I'm taking very good care of her.

YTA for being homeless

Aw that sucks man. Losing a dog is tough. Hope you get better

As someone who is voluntarily homeless (/r/vandwellers) for about 6 months out of the year and as someone who doesn't really care about dogs, the way the homeless treat their dogs is abysmal. The amount of homeless people who lose/fail to feed/negligently allow to die/give away/fail to medically care for their dogs is astronomical.

Limps, weeping sores, huge glaring dental issues, tumors, etc. are all the norm among the dogs of the homeless.
