Serious question: how many people actually have parents who raised them really well? It seems like most people are disgruntled with some aspect of how they were raised. Even the people in the thread talking about how their relationship with their parent's was ruined or w/e mostly aren't describing anything extreme or abusive.
I've known some people with great parents they're really close to as adults.
But I'm just saying that if you're seeing crossover with the rbn crowd that's probably why. And their descriptions are super limited so we don't actually know the context.
