I totally realize most people are going to disagree with me here but I feel compelled to say that closing the sub for a joke wasn't a very kind thing to do. We have seen TONS of posts from vulnerable populations talking about how this sub is a source of support and humor in a dark time. Irony and dirtbagism aside, taking away that support without warning was not okay.
You can say I'm being silly, or humorless or reactionary. Whatever. I love the show and I love this community. But sometimes I come home after dealing with ableism and our nightmare reality all day, and this sub is one of many things that make me feel better. It wasn't a good feeling to find this sub closed for the sake of irony. Maybe that's laughable or pathetic. But for me, it's true.
Fatrick is a shitlib hack science fiction writer who came after Norm Macdonald when he said that Roseanne and Louis CK were being treated unfairly. He lives on social media and is extremely agressive and vitriolic to those he disagrees with. /r/Opieandanthony (now private thanks to a shoplifting heroin junkie head moderator) got his twitter banned, and he's become obsessed with us.

It used to be a massive radio show, it started on terrestrial radio and ended up on satellite radio. Then both of them split, now they do painfully boring and unfunny podcasts. Opie's podcast is the audio equivalent to Ambien. Anthony is an actual racist with no audience.
They don't but the spirit of humour that built the show still does: people like raw, dark comedy. That sub was essentially the continuation of that same spirit, and even Opie and Anthony are not safe from being subject to it. That sub used to trash them constantly. Opie wipes piss off his toilet seat with his socks, which are on his feet. Anthony is a pedophile. both are brought under the same satirical blade on which they built their brand.
