Pascha (Greek: Πάσχα), also called Easter, is the feast of the Resurrection of the Lord. Pascha is a transliteration of the Greek word, which is itself a transliteration of the Aramaic pascha, from the Hebrew pesach meaning Passover.

Pascha normally falls either one or five weeks later than the feast as observed by Christians who follow the Gregorian calendar. However, occasionally the two observances coincide, and on occasion they can be four weeks apart. The reason for the difference is that, though the two calendars use the same underlying formula to determine the festival, they compute from different starting points. The older Julian calendar's solar calendar is 13 days behind the Gregorian's and its lunar calendar is four to five days behind the Gregorian's. The Pascha date this year: April 28, 2019, next year: April 19, 2020, and May 2, 2021, the year after that.

I am a bot for posting Outline.com links. github / Contact for info or issues

Drama posting as a whole rots your brain, the sub is easily one of the most transphobic subreddits filled with Enlightened centrists and alt-light trolls, the mod team is a bunch of weirdo nominally left succdems who post on Stupidpol about how they're the bastion of left thought.

One of them made a post about how they used to be a SJW but alienated all their friends and family and now decries idpol, when in reality they're probably just insufferable to be around

Orthodoxcels OUT OUT OUT

If it weren’t for your heretical ways the Roman Empire wouldn’t have been forsaken by God into the hands of the turkroaches

Orthodoxy is the one true faith! Romancels fucked it all up by creating a pope position and disregarding the metropolitans.

You tell em!

Христос воскрес ✌️

I thought they figured out he was crucified in December and born around April in actuality and ironically?

Beats me! I'm not an anthropologist and I'm barely a good Christian.

Fair enough, not as if I could source it.

Eastern Orthodox is great but most of the smug burgers ✝️posting all over /r/drama celebrate Easter on this weekend

I will show them the way.

💪💪💪

Hey your cross is crooked.

Nah that's just your eyes.

😞

I thought we were friends.

I've been friends with all kinds. I can't see why you being cross-eyed would stop me from befriending you.
