I'm honestly surprised /r/CringeAnarchy didn't just get cucked and chucked immediately and I wish WPD had been given the same leniency, especially since they were very willing to work with the admins of the site to make sure they were allowed to stay. It's obvious that the admins are only stomping out the "alt right" presence that gets them so much negative press and that they couldn't care less about the left wing subs that break the rules but fly under the radar.
the PBB ban legitimately made me angry. like while it did share users with the old subs, the content in there was completely different. Like at the point it was banned it was literally like 60% Powerposting, 30% cboyardee posting and 10% general shitposts and/or discussions about music and other shit. it felt like the pre CA and /pol/ invasion days.
PBB was mostly old mde users who were tired of the way the sub was going with CA and /pol/ invading the place and making it shitty, unfunny, and forced.
The main gimmick of the sub was the idea of "power", usually exemplified by pictures of people being imposing, be it through sheer disgustingness, the stance, or however else power was obtained. The BadBoys part is self explanatory.
The sub was also dedicated to having cboyardee as a main idol, lots of schizoposts, and the general music and cigar discussion here and there, on top of a general community of support for one another.
It was a really nice place. Agendaposting was minimal, and if present it was focused on the comedy aspect of it. Vitriol was rarely present, "hate" content was minimal, users generally knew one another and talked to each other.
The only connection it had to MDE was the fact that it was comprised of golden-age sub users from before CA and pol came and made it the shit you know of nowadays. It was not a ban evasion sub.
I wager the admins know full well the left wing subs break the rules but because the majority on reddit is on the left and so is social media itself they have no pressure to crack down on it. PBB was mostly old mde users who were tired of the way the sub was going with CA and /pol/ invading the place and making it shitty, unfunny, and forced.
The main gimmick of the sub was the idea of "power", usually exemplified by pictures of people being imposing, be it through sheer disgustingness, the stance, or however else power was obtained. Think of the video where Sam Hyde makes the protestor apologize for her teeth, or those absolutely disgusting pictures he took of his face. Powerposting was just that. The BadBoys part is self explanatory.
The sub was also dedicated to having cboyardee as a main idol, lots of schizoposts, and the general music and cigar discussion here and there, on top of a general community of support for one another.
It was a really nice place. Agendaposting was minimal, and if present it was focused on the comedy aspect of it. Vitriol was rarely present, "hate" content was minimal, users generally knew one another and talked to each other.
The only connection it had to MDE was the fact that it was comprised of golden-age sub users from before CA and pol came and made it the shit you know of nowadays. It was not a ban evasion sub.
