I've seen tamed tigers and wolves playing with their trainers, but we wouldn't allow that as a pet because they have the potential to do great damage. Chihuahuas, cats, even a labrador don't have that potential, nor the build so they are fine as pets.

The differences between the Golden Retriever, Great Pyrenees, Dachshund, and the various pit types are purely cosmetic.

Actually, yes. They were my neighbors' known to be aggressive and badly trained. They were never walked and were let out by mistake. So yeah, socialization is a big part of dig training and strong dogs need good trainers.

The stats are from dogsbite.org they are skewed because they only take their numbers from trauma centres and crunch them together. Very few people are actually hospitalised from dog bites so the data ends up being skewed. Pitbull have the capacity to inflict fatal injuries, but their bites are rare overall. Look at my link. I’ve grown up around a variety of dog breeds. Collies, poodle crosses, chi’s and schnauzers. Labs and goldens. I’ve met a few pibs and they don’t seem any less dangerous than the others. It’s simply due to the build if they decide to go. A lab or GS would do similar damage. To be honest, if my nervous Cav was cornered and had no place to hide she might too.
