I had a bad night because of this thread. I feel like I should know better by now, but somehow I always think I'm in a better place to handle it this time.

I don't understand how so much of society can consider BDSM a game. To me, it's a form of hatred against women. It's a reminder of how much men hate and disrespect us, how much they secretly (or not so secretly) want to hurt and abuse us, to cause us pain. They think we're inferior, and they get pleasure out of causing pain in ways that will remind us that we're inferior, especially at our most vulnerable during sex.

To be honest, this makes me distrust every man out there. I love my partner, I feel like he's a good person. But I hate to be all "not my Nigel" about him. Maybe he secretly wants to hurt and dominate me or other women. Maybe my dad and grandpa and brother do, too. Maybe all men have been contaminated in this way, and none of them are safe, and I shouldn't trust anyone.

It just makes me want to leave society altogether. I'll go be a hermit by myself in the mountains. There's no BDSM there.
