i think the TV series forked from the books around halfway through the shows run. the series creator/writer will likely die due to obesity related issues before it's finished.

That’s so weird to me. I feel like an author wouldn’t like that. Then again guessing small amount of his bux come from book sales directly.

He's going to die before he finishes the last book in the series and he knows it. Im guessing he fed the remaining spoilers to the writers back before season 6 and let them handle the rest, which is how we ended up with the masterpiece we see now.

He doesn’t like it, but he understands adaptations. After a certain point of the show the show runners stopped going to him for info and shot down his ideas to help write, so he stopped caring about the main show and has been focusing mainly on the books and the spin off TV series.

Season 4 and 5, since they decided to scrap a lot of stuff from AFFC and ADWD. Season 4 was still good, but the disaster began in Season 5 with some kino moments that were the exception.

And to be absolutely honest, today's episode was really fucking good lol, the seething is just a bonus.
