This is why he’s against international trade. He hopes that limiting the workforce will force companies to channel the profits towards worker wages, but instad they’ll raise the prices and start the inflation cycle, thus giving nominally higher wages to workers but charging them more for goods (purchasing power stays the same, but savings erode)
