How does it feel to be a filthy bedouin who belongs to a lineage and culture which has never actually accomplished anything for itself? The only remarkable traits of your people are that they sit atop oil which white people pay you for and that you are dishonest and relatively dim witted. If western leaders weren't a bunch of jew addled traitors they would have wiped your people off the face of the earth and simply taken your oil rather than paid your retarded royalty a single cent.

Now we have a scenario in which a bunch of dune coons run around playing 21st century warlord with weaponry their stupid people couldn't possibly invent and shitting up life on earth for everybody. We never should have sold you so much as a Lamborghini let alone a fucking autocannon. Handing you sand niggers modern weaponry is like handing a small child a hand grenade.

If your people were worth their weight in salt they would turn their own lands into a place fit for human beings. Since they aren't able to, they flee to our lands and proceed to breed like rats while feeding their children with fraudulently earned income and welfare paid for by white people. You and your ilk will eventually outnumber us in our homes and our lands will become as shitty and useless as your lands. Cograts, you'll achieve dar es salaam but you won't have running water or a functioning power grid. You played yourself.

Shameful behavior from a deceitful desert tribe. Yet you feel pride. So strange.

Begone, rat.

This dumb motherfucker who bankrupted his business multiple times is going to give us 15% inflation.

Venezuelan economic advisors are now on Reddit?

One group of retards fighting another group. Who the fuck else would pay for tariffs? The loss to Chinese companies comes in the form of lost business.

How can US tariffs be bad because Americans pay them, but China retaliatory tariffs are also bad because they hurt America? 🤔

They both are bad. Tariffs is pretty much running a sword through yourself to stab the other person.

I think it can only be hurtful in a situation where a country is truly reliant on getting a resource from a different country. I don't think America is reliant on anything from China except maybe rare earth metals, but everything else companies will just eventually switch to sourcing from a non Chinese source.

It can ONLY be hurtful? I mean, its hurtful to us right now. We are talking about bailing out farmers. Businesses (small) have gone under, jobs have been lost. What idiot doesn't think that is hurtful?

I don't believe the farmer non sense at all. Soy beans are a zero sum market. Unless China is literally going to starve people, it still needs buy soy beans, so it will get them from some other country. But now that country cant sell to the country it normally did, so the US will now make up the difference.

Its political theater on both sides with the news finding farmers that don't like trump to do a piece on how their family farm is going to close and trump responding with subsidies.

K, you keep believing whatever you want to.

Fuck off with this stupidity. Prioritizing cheaper stuff and eurodollar investments of wealthy Americans over the long-term sociopolitical ramifications of coupling one's economy to a Marxist-Leninist single party state is idiotic. China gains much more relatively than the U.S. from this relationship. In the long run, they can and will run us out of markets because the CCP doesn't really give a shit about business unless it serves their own ends.

This is an exercise in masochism for me because now I have to watch you regurgitate the same moronic talking points I've seen a thousand times over.

Still doesn't change the fact tariffs hurt us as well as China.

Yes, it directly costs both countries financially. However, I take issue with the fact that this is always spouted on its own, without any consideration for context or more indirect, long-term costs.

For instance, lots of idiots think that manufacturing returning to the U.S. means something like the 50s and 60s. However, cost of labor has already risen in China, thus affecting manufacturing costs. They've been able to offset this because of the logistical framework and infrastructure that has risen as a result of agglomeration effects of being the center of manufacturing during decades of massive global growth. This, in turn, will allow them to maintain a competitive edge in manufacturing while replacing labor with automation where they can.

This is something the U.S. could compete with, without a regression to previous era manufacturing. However, we are severely disadvantaged in this area because we've completely hollowed out America's manufacturing capability. We have neither the logistics nor the infrastructure with which to compete. Our short-term prioritization of cheap shit has potentially cost us an entire advanced industry of 21st century automated manufacturing.

But of course, that would be far too many words for the average r/politics or r/worldnews user to remember, and it does not mesh with orange-man-bad.

Jesus fuck dude. Take that shit somewhere else. I don't care that much to read that.

Then don't say stupid shit unironically.

I'll post all the fuck I want to get people to REEEE our or serious-long post.

Yeah, I'm sure your r/worldnews-tier tariff comment was totally bait and not your actual opinion. Also, my comment didn't even get LongPostBot'ed, so be better, sweaty.

I'm not sweaty, I have my AC on.

augh, bourgeoisie scum

How can US tariffs be bad because Americans pay them, but China retaliatory tariffs are also bad because they hurt America? 🤔

China retaliatory tariffs will affect Chinese exporters. If they choose to factor the price into their products, then it could add costs to American importers.

China retaliatory tariffs will affect Chinese exporters.

??????

Whoops, meant importers.

Whoops, meant importers. Chinese manufacturer import a lot of intermediate products from the U.S., assemble them into the final product, and then sell that product back to U.S. firms. If they decide to factor the retaliatory tariff costs into the cost of the final product, then that would be retaliatory tariffs harming U.S. consumers.

Maybe, but I doubt it.

Most products are buy side priced, meaning they are priced what the market will bear. If the price could be raised without lowering overall revenue, the company would've already done it. Most likely companies bottom lines will be affected, but not the consumer.

Good point. Replace U.S. consumers with U.S. businesses. I just meant to illustrate how the costs could affect the U.S.

how can it be bad for me to set my wife’s side of the bed on fire if it’s also bad when she sets my side of the bed on fire

Watch him use the trade war to jame the fed into lowering interest rates, and strike a deal with China just in time for the 2020 election.
