Fuck you dude. You don't just get to believe what I'd been thinking the whole time now that it's convenient for you. First apologize to me for your original opinions, shithead.
And look: the fact that you just very recently had those problematic opinions does not just mean that you get to be woke within a matter of clicks; you still have a lot of rethinking to do. So shut up. Say you're sorry, SHUT THE FUCK UP, and start listening: the adults are talking, and what we have to say will impact generations to come.
I have done a fuckload of research into these "concentration camps" and I have found no proof they exist in the form described by western media and online.
What I DID find is proof that China has more jails in Xinjiang than it used to have. But every single report of what happens inside the jails is second hand information from Islamic Uighur pro-independence groups, including from a propaganda radio station that is literally funded by the US government.
Reuters even went to China to investigate and checked out 39 of the "concentration camps" and all they found was a bunch of schools and jails. There is also no evidence I have found that any more than 120,000 people are imprisoned in these jails at any one time. I could not even confirm that number either. The EU was invited by China to come and inspect the camps and the EU declined.
I looked at the satellite photos. They appear to show schools and jails. Every country has schools and jails. The reality in Xinjiang is that Uighur islamist terrorists have killed thousands of innocent people in the area. There is proof of this. Even the UN stated that the situation is "complicated" by Uighur terrorist attacks because it gives China a valid excuse to increase security in the region.
I challenge anybody who reads this to actually go and do the same research I did. You end up going in circles because there is no actual real information out there, it's all just Western news organisations referencing each other, and anti-Chinese claims by the Uighur independence groups. These are not reliable or reputable sources. The closest I came to real evidence was references in news articles to a report to the UN by an islamic Uighur pro-independence group. I searched the UN committee's website and could not find this report. Again, that report was by an anti-Chinese group, so it's hard to see it as reliable.
This whole "concentration camp" shit really seems to be western anti-Chinese propaganda. They are taking a grain of truth and weaving a bunch of lies around it to make it convincing. It's also great clickbait. So I don't believe these "concentration camps" are as described. I believe they are jails that China is using to hold terrorists and terrorism suspects, and I do think it's plausible they are trying to reeducate Uighur muslims to move away from extremist religious and political views. So in that sense maybe they are "concentration camps" according to the absolute strictest definition. But I don't think that's a fair way to describe them considering it evokes images of starvation and genocide.
