Just a note: a trans man would be someone who transitioned from female to male, and the pictured person is Violet Chachki, a drag queen who, as far as I'm aware, simply identifies as a gay cismale.

Violet might be genderfluid, but is not transitioning so is not Pre-HRT. Also, again, a trans man would be someone going from female to male, so even if he was transitioning she would be a trans woman. I've always thought that people who do not identify as their physical sex are considered trans, MtF or FtM, and as Violet is a female name - I named him a trans which is currently pre-HRT. I guess the correct way you are talking about would be just "genderfluid".

Violet is his drag name, and there's a lot of overlap in drag even though it's not quite the same thing. He still goes by Jason in his real life, but it's common for people to refer to the drag persona informally and call drag queens she even when they 100% identify as male. And when it comes to using trans male or trans female, it's always the one they're aiming for- so if they're going for female, they're trans and female, i.e. Trans female.

Here's my theory:
When word came down that trannies would be the next group to 'fight' for after bussy connoisseurs were allowed to get hitched, a bunch of genuinely ignorant but woke people just grabbed onto anything that, at first glance and without any real thought, has something to do with transsexualism.
This would explain these bizarre displays of performative wokeness: like having drag queens (who are basically adult entertainers, many of whom aren't even gay, let alone trans. In fact, the whole point is often to make fun of women and femininity, decidedly un-woke behaviour. My dad once dressed up as a woman for a laugh ffs and he's a right bogan) in kindergartens and enabling 'non-binary' neo pronoun attention whores, neither of which, again, have anything remotely to do with transsexuals, which is rooted in biology..
The latter especially should be self destructive, they believe two contradictory things: gender is a social construct AND surgical and chemical alterations are the only things that can help transgenders cope, the existence of one disproves the other.
Instead of collapsing into a struggle session in which non binaries would presumably be ejected like I would have predicted, they just carry on believing two entirely irreconcilable things at once.
It truly boggles the mind.
