I thought the scene played out true to the book. What these people can't seem to grasp is books express a characters inner dialogue while a show can't do that. IIRC, Cersei was thinking to herself that she did want it but openly said "no."

It's what makes the Brienne and Jamie stuff so strange in the show. Jamie spends a lot of time asking himself why he's attracted to Brienne but doesn't verbalize it. And then in the show they are suddenly having sex and it doesn't make sense unless you read the books.

This is one of my biggest issues with the expanse. The show often relies on characters making obvious statements that come off as awkward to express that inner dialogue and I'm pretty sure they do it because of a mix of fan service and lazy writing
