I know it went to home video, probably by the mid-1980s, but I recall seeing the film on TV only once or twice.
It's a cult film - I still recall the original (it was pretty damn amazing for its time, with some great world-building and mind-blowing puppetry) and from what I saw in the trailer, the aesthetic of this prequel series looks like it'll stick close to that of the original film.

anyway so when does this take place? because at the end of the original movie the skeksis and urru merged back into their original beings. so is this like a prequel series?
