The place: Cape Cod, Massachusetts. USA. The date: late August / early September 2016.

The story begins with an Azn man at his summer home in Cape Cod. He’s enjoying the beach with his wife who is white, tanned, pregnant and out taking pictures of seals. But his peace is disturbed when he sees a white man with an Asian woman. He proceeds with a forensic breakdown of the couple...

The Asian lady is in her late twenties. Maybe early thirties. She’s not too pretty, just a tad above average but she is “slender and well dressed.” Having a keen eye, the Azn man can tell that she’s no “fresh off the boat” type.

Her white partner is about the same age. He looks like a dork that you might see working at Best Buy. He has “womanly” hips that are bigger than his shoulders --- 1.5 times bigger to be precise. The man is pale and poorly dressed (beige khaki shorts, white sneakers and brown stretchy polo shirt.) Again, the Azn man uses his keen eye and suspects that he owns no property there. “He didn't look like someone who was staying for longer than a day,” he tells us.

The couples have a brief interaction. Our Azn man explains: The WMAF couple turned to stare at us for a good 20 seconds. You might think you have sunglasses on, but I can still see you're staring. Was super awkward until I yelled out "beautiful day, watch out for the sharks."

Addendum: Another of his observations. This one from a holiday party. Tldr: Things are changing for the Azn man. (With the exception being San Francisco.)
