If basic income actually failed, you could give at least some semblance of a concise explanation of the failure, or at least have one of your four links lead to something data-focused, instead of being like "here's an opinion, now immerse yourself in verbose repititions of that opinion for a half hour since hopefully that's enough to make you agree with it." If Tianammen had happened in the US you'd all just say it was a riot and that no one should condemn the police for just doing their job. Extra points for pictures of burning trash cans and shop owners pointing guns at and threatening to massacre participants in the protest.
I'd like to think that if tanks were brought in and the protesters were getting shot and/or arrested and tortured that there'd be a huge outcry among all but the most devoted of the DDF
