It doesn’t matter if it’s needed, you do it out of respect. We know we’re not the best, because being the best doesn’t matter. We want EVERYONE to be doing well.
I personally want to live in a world where we don’t need countries, where all of humanity can work together.
But at the same time, after all this moralizing...
Canadian here, making fun of the States is literally our national pastime.
Becoming a complete joke of s country is “the best thing to happen in decades?” Like, I’m in Canada. Everyone here thinks Americans are all dumb fat people who only care about themselves.
"I want to move past the concept of nations, I want everyone to be doing well, to not be divided... but haha you're a dumb fat Amerikkkan!😂😂"
The alpha they showed off originally had a lot of promise and looked like a completely different game too. There's originally wasn't even supposed to be hard transitions between stages of eras
They cut out an entire stage (the aquatic stage). Imo it should have been split into two games. One from single celled organism to fully evolved creature and one from tribal culture to spade faring civilization.
I know people who have worked in restaurants and retail, and they always said, “the worst customer you can get is an American.”
Funny thing is the reverse happens in America. Everyone who works as a waiter will immediately tell you that Canadians are the worst customers and try to avoid serving their tables. Their accents are impossible to understand, they don't tip even though they always show up with huge families, and they're all lazy and slow as hell because they're reliant on social services. I also don't understand why they always wear bones through their noses.
In schools, every year we have a segment about the horrible shit our governments done. We learn about internment camps, we learn about First Nations. We’re taught that the shit our ancestors did was not okay, and that we all need to learn
The absolute state of leafland. If only our prime minister didn't "genocide" all those native americans 😔
That's because 'Canadian niceness' really only refers to communities in the east coast/rural Canada. Go to Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal and it's basically America-lite.
It's bizarre, backpacking around Europe twice I found that the people who were most vocally anti-American were American tourists in the hostels and bars. The people who were most likely to suck the dick of their own country, bring up their own country's policies as a model for the rest of the world, and generally fit the autistic Ugly American stereotype were Canadians.
this is true. I like that the only thing they have to complain about is restaurant goers and smugness but they are literally to us what mexico is to them
I went to Canada once, beautiful country but literally all Anglo Canadians were obsessed with America and talked about it constantly, it was fucking pathetic.
This is unironically true, atleast from my visits to America's hat.

If the game Spore has taught me one thing, it's that spore was a shitty game.
1 Tzar-Romulus 2019-06-23
Definitely overhyped and underdeveloped. Had a lot of potential tho.

they shouldve just done the first few stages
1 Kaiser-romulus 2019-06-23
Replace “American” with “black” in that paragraph and see how Reddit likes it.
1 Day_of_the_COPE 2019-06-23
You don’t do that automatically?
1 Kaiser-romulus 2019-06-23
Of course I do. Why the fuck you think I mentioned it lmao.

All you need to know to disregard his opinion - glad he's polite as always and put it in the beginning of his comment.
1 Tzar-Romulus 2019-06-23
Unironically I find spore fun. The first two stages and the last one are the only good ones tho.

If the game spore taught me anything, it's that the best way to get to the space stage is to bomb everyone into smitheroons.
