I hope that this is the end. r/Drama has a unique way of bringing out the worst in people. It really does, I think. The dynamic here is just so fucking toxic and it turns people into the worst possible people they can be.

Drama is an addiction. It should be classified as something more like heroine or meth than a game.

The legacy of Drama has been written large in blood, quite literally. Several Drama posters have committed mayocide, and this place enabled their downward spirals. u/DarqWolff's insanity was made far worse by this place. I've come to the conclusion that the internet, as a social platform, was a mistake.

It radicalizes people by isolating them with other people just like them and so they spiral into the worst versions of themselves. Drama made me a worse person, and it's made most of you worse people. It's been the breeding ground of pedophile groomers, alt-right killers, and suicidal narcissists. This place is a total fucking shithole and I spent three years of my life that I'll never get back immersed in it. It was a total waste and I'm going to regret this period of my life for the rest of my existence as will most of you.

Even the most moral people have been made worse for being here. I think that the fundamental issue with Drama is that due to the way reputations work, betrayal, secret cabals, two-faced bs, and bad faith negotiation isn't just prioritized, it's the only effective way to operate. Being a huge piece of shit to everybody around you and tearing them down like crabs in a bucket isn't just a viable strategy, it's actually the only viable strategy once Drama reached a certain size. It's all just a bunch of assholes circlejerking over how bad all the other assholes are, because it's impossible to do anything else short of outright genociding anybody who poses any sort of threat to Drama's security and dominance.

I'm ambivalent about this. They cut down all the old growth forest in the state, suddenly were shocked that it doesn't just grow back, and begged for welfare. Then they got it. A hell of a lot of money has been paid out since the 1990s to bail them out of the consequences of their own actions. So what do they do? They stay out there in the mountains and brew up meth think they're better than black drug dealers. So I'm not terribly sympathetic after all these years.

On the other hand, it's pretty amazing that this bill never got any attention at all in Oregon media. Given how thoroughly corrupt all of Oregon's climate change crusades have been up till now, the only way to explain it is that the people who refused to report on Neil Goldschmitt raping little girls for decades are still in business today.

It's been my experience in Idaho that the big-talking revolution type guys do a significant amount of tactical training drills in the woods and own small arsenals. This is right wing ACAB, horseshoe theory and radical centrism all rolled together and I for one support it.

Just every fucking experience I've had with our salt-of-the-earth brothers in the rural areas of the PNW. The low end is ringing you up for $3 for a fucking candy bar in a convenience store when you're stopping at a gas station on a long trip. They'll fuck you every possible way they can with crooked cops and crooked judges. What's common to it all is that they believe you'll just give up and not fight them because you're far from home and it's not worth the trouble.

I like that one guy on the page suggesting that the legislators need to break the law and not show up to vote, because the democrats don't respect democracy and this isn't democratic. Because his constituents don't want the bill to pass, and him showing up to do his legally required job and being voted down as a minority opinion is somehow not democracy. we can never understand unless we delve into the world of lifelong opioid addiction ourselves.
