So, one the one hand, black population in medical Europe is such a desperate idiotic take, on the other hand, Mordhau let's you run naked to battle swinging at people with a lute while spamming very anachronistic meme taunts, so historical immersion seems a weird hill to die on for a game that is basically medieval slapstick fight. Having played Mordhau, and liking the Gameplay, I b an honestly attest that the game has by far the most toxic online community I've ever seen and that is including games like LOL or pre censoring Cod days. Like you can't get through a single game without some people denying the Holocaust in the chat, its that bad.
Paradox was pretty smart in finding that there's a big market out there for games that aren't explicitly Nazi but pander to moderate-functioning autists. Now that they've blazed the trail, I expect there's gonna be a lot of these games that are superficially about medieval or early modern Germany. But they're totally not Nazi, bro!
