Circular firing squads and "purity tests" abound when resetera plays "Who's the scab?" over Amazon Prime Day and Vox media forgetting their own recent walkout

Remember to vote for Daddy in 2020 to fight back against the evil forces that threaten us (like ResetEra).

rightoid OUT

the only reasonable person to vote for in 2020 is me, MoreSpikes. After all I'm the only pro-purge candidate

Honestly you should vote trump just for the possibility of the largest mass suicide ever seen.

I wish daddy would just end it all and shutdown the internet.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger collection of droll, humorless assholes than the users of ResetEra.

Well the overlap is almost 100%

Droll means funny. You're thinking dull.

Retard.

Goddammit. Off to keep myself safe.

AHS?

Realistically Amazon made up a holiday and all anybody does is signal boost it, that includes the strike. More people writing more articles about aspects of Prime Day mean more mind-share and more money for Amazon.

/thread

I don't get any of this, what is the drama even about here?

buncha soyboys buttmad that polygon (a very woke, virtual signalling paradise) would write an article about amazon's great sales instead of their striking employees

Why would polygon write about the actual problems with the game industry? They are in the back pocket of the corporations.

Last month writers for Vox/Polygon walked out of work in protest of shitty pay/work conditions. Today is a big sale event for Amazon and workers there are doing the same. But gaming websites and the same writers are not really saying or doing anything in solidarity and are instead running buying guides and “advertorials” to drive sales to Amazon.

In other words; this isn't even in the top half of crappy things that polygon does, yet people are getting angry at it instead of all the lies they print.

Buying guides with affiliate links. And these people call themselves journalists

Buying guides with undisclosed affiliate links, usually

lol this is fantastic

I love how you think this would be an acceptable explanation and not a gross violation of the basic tenets of journalism

You sound like a Gamergater mate

You mean it might ACTUALLY BE about ethics in video game journalism !?!?!?!

THIS WEB SITE HAS BEEN MOSTLY TAKEN OFFLINE BECAUSE OF THE TELEMETRY REPORT. IF YOU CAN SEE THIS, YOU ARE ONE OF THE SCANT FEW WHO CAN SEE THROUGH THE HOLOWEB.
