Fuck you dude. You don't just get to believe what I'd been thinking the whole time now that it's convenient for you. First apologize to me for your original opinions, shithead.
And look: the fact that you just very recently had those problematic opinions does not just mean that you get to be woke within a matter of clicks; you still have a lot of rethinking to do. So shut up. Say you're sorry, SHUT THE FUCK UP, and start listening: the adults are talking, and what we have to say will impact generations to come.
It's not like the MCU is anything but shit for the most part. The Nolan Batman trilogy brought in a bunch of non-capeshit staff and delivered something unique and exciting. The MCU can deliver shit like Captain Marvel or Endgame and know they're going to make money because they have a bunch of brainless capeshits that will pay for anything they do. The question isn't why DC hasn't been able to "deliver" movies like MCU but rather why DC wasn't able to build the brainless fanbase that MCU did.
well the animated dc movies are still going strong and their tv shows(not the cw garbage tho), not sure how they shit the bed so hard with the live-action movies
Plus those are the films that ate up the lion's share of the box office. Now all we will get is yet more mediocre capeshit crap and remakes because other studios can see that's where the money is
Even they will get sick of it halfway through Phase 2 or whatever it’s called. I mean who the fuck actually wants to sit through a 2+ hour movie featuring the youngest, not anorexic-yet somehow also weird looking-Olsen?
Marvel has zero competition. DC are a bunch of clowns and not to mention their fans are super toxic and everyone knows that. Nobody likes what they have to offer and their comic house will probably shut down leaving Marvel to operate in an open space. With Game of Thrones over they will also now dominate TV so don't try to say things will change when things are only going up
If you honestly can't accept how great Marvel is and how great the biggest movie ever is then maybe you don't know cinema
This has to be a troll... no one could possibly be so little self-aware of the irony and projection they shit out.
People unironically have this exact attitude in the martial arts world. They think Bruce Lee movies are real, he was a god, Wing Chun could smash any mma fighter within seconds. When their shitty 2000 year old obscure martial art gets destroyed by a teenage mma amateur, it's because of "restrictive rules". Brainlets should be banned from all forms of social media.
Reddit is so anti-capitalist but at the same time so prone to worshipping corporate, commending Disney on dominating the entire film industry like it's a good thing
Thats why I said barely, theres a few capeshit shows but theyre really few and not topping everything. Legion is great tho, maybe too confusing for the shitters.
Oh reddit completely turned on Legion in season 2 lol, it was glorious. It went full abstract while still retaining a strong narrative and came out the other side stronger than before. But because it was truly an artistic vision that required average brain function to understand it is apparently "up it's own ass"
Never saw Legion, but Daredevil season 1 and 3 were actually really great, they deserved the acclaim the got. Capeshit movies are OK if you just treat them as dumb-fun quipfests, but Daredevil actually had some engaging themes and had competent storytelling and visuals. Sad it got canceled, would have loved to see more, especially considering they seemed to be minimizing the capeshit tropes that made S2 so shit.
These people are actual mongoloids. Guardians of the Galaxy was the only risky or creative movie Marvel has put out since Iron Man. Almost every single movie since Thor has been the same movie with different characters doing the quips and making sure they don't wear a mask. It blew my damn mind when I found out Far From Home is being considered an amazing movie
I've been seriousposting too much today forgive me brethren
it got buried in the culture war, but Black Panther is probably the most creative Marvel film, in that no one has really done Afrofuturism for a mainstream movie audience before
Ehhh, it was anesthetically creative and kind of out there, but I wouldn't call it risky. They just gave a good filmmaker with a vision the reigns and he made a decent movie.

Still haven't produced anything close to the Batman Trilogy.
1 PappyPutin 2019-07-24
That's because those movies had actual human characters and not quip machines.
1 camboj 2019-07-24
I still don’t know how DC started off so strong and just completely and utterly failed at making anything remotely competent

Because the Nolan films are completely separate from any other DC property and wouldn't translate well into a world with actual supermen.

Wonder Woman was competent.

Wasn't Shazam also received well
1 SandorClegane_AMA 2019-07-24
Shazam was excellent.
1 TheColdTurtle 2019-07-24
Shazam was amazing. Did decently in the box office, but probably not enough to satisfy the suits at Warner bros

For you
1 professorshillphd 2019-07-24
It's actually terrible for "cinema" because pretty much no original stories are being written, it's all capeshit.
1 morroia 2019-07-24
My suggestion would be to watch non-Hollywood films, or older films. Lots of quality stuff right there.
1 Grimmrat 2019-07-24
It's only like 2 Marvel movies a year out of hundreds. If that is enough to ruin cinema it deserves to burn
1 TrollFarm4 2019-07-24
Disney as a whole does a lot, this year it's 4 capeshit, 1 star wars movie, 3 remakes and 3 sequels.
Not a single new idea though.

Tbh it was like that before 2008 as well.
1 Kaiser-romulus 2019-07-24

There are also shills.
1 TaysSecondGussy 2019-07-24
I’ve said this before, but if we don’t pretend some things are serious we would just be a slightly smarter (I know) and more offensive SRD.

Nah it ruins it for me.

To be fair one of the best shows going currently is technically capeshit, that being Legion

1 KanyeetWeebs 2019-07-24
Poor Waterworld and Ben-Hur.
1 Ingelri 2019-07-24
Waterworld was fucking dank. Second best villain in film history after Raul Julia's Bison.

hopefully he can make something out of it unlike all the other people who've tried
1 TheSomaCruz 2019-07-24
The absolute state of capeshitcels. Anime is far better than capeshit, hands down.
1 posthogchud420 2019-07-24

lol @ thinking Endgame was good. It was pretty good, but holy fuck the final battle was brutally terrible.
The girl power scene had me cringing so hard.
1 Al_Simmons 2019-07-24
It was forgettable as fuck. I can't remember half the shit in the movie.
1 Alicesnakebae 2019-07-24

Is there a movies sub without capeshit or pg13 garbage?
1 Drama1928 2019-07-24
This is the only place on the site with half decent takes.
1 SnapagatortheCroc 2019-07-24
Lots of non Marvelcels, even film critics, unironically acted like this with Black Panther.
A film so woke that if you're indiferrent to it, you are literally a Klansman.
Also: The Last Jedi
1 MG87 2019-07-24
