Like pottery, every time. They don’t understand that we made this. I remember reading that during the mid 90’s Golden boom there were some with poor temperaments and health issues, and the breeders pretty much agreed to a moratorium and fixed it within a few years. That will never happen with bully breeds. Weirdly I’m seeing more game dogs since the Vic era, so the bloodlines are not being diluted as one would anticipate.
Pit advocacy seems to have simultaneously increased the numbers of unwanted pits in shelters and given wannabe Dogmen easier access to game lines instead of having to drive out to some rural kennel after meeting at a Waffle House and paying out the nose. Great job.
