a lot of them are the alt-right mirror images of our tankie edgelord teens, and a lot of people there are broken, toxic people and their parasites who exploit and humiliate them for sociopathic fun
There are like three good reasons to not major in STEM:
Your daddy is rich so it doesn't matter
You're pursuing a law degree so it doesn't matter
You want to pursue academia very, very grounded understanding of the job opportunities within
I've met way too many people who were like "haha I love history". Yeah I like history too, that's why I read history books from the library. What I don't do is spend four years and $150k on history.
This is exactly why I picked a humanities major that just started this year, in a very niche market about a specific branch of government. I knew that majoring in something generic would mean getting lost in the shuffle.
Even just any basic engineering prereq class is made miles harder, the lecture notes suck and usually they're just there to do research but are mandated to teach one or two weed out courses
Like 90% of that sub are psudo intellectual foid zoomers. I got a refund because my programming teacher was from fucking yemen and nothing he said sounded like English.
I have good hearing and I couldn't understand half of my teachers. STEM classes in particular are loaded with foreign teachers. I've had to learn economics from a Liberian (who used to be that country's finance minister, now teaching at a 6,000 student college lmao) accounting from a Korean, International business from a Portuguese woman, comparative politics from an Iranian (the worst one possibly) 3 fucking IT classes from the same Russian (second worst one) a behavioral management class from an Indian lady (best teacher I ever had actually) math from a different Iranian, international business from a Lebanese guy (2nd best teacher I had) and database management from a different Korean. Oh and obviously my Chinese business class was taught by a Chinese lady.
This is a good move. I had a professor who sounded like the Black Panther on quaaludes, and instead of asking questions during the lecture, I had to put them all in an email at the end of the week
Hey, assuming that someone has an accent because they have a non-English name is literally racial prejudice.
Literally every professor I had with an Asian last name had an accent I could never understand. Like there's a joke about the more experienced your engineering professor is the thicker their accent is lol

These "people" should all be forced to listen to an organic chemistry lecture delivered in extremely broken Korean-English.
1 TheRootinTootinPutin 2019-07-29
Lmao, as if any of them have taken practical classes
1 diggity_md 2019-07-29
Uhhhhhm, sweaty, my philosophy 101 elective taught me how to think, your classes just prepared you for life as an office drone
1 Ingelri 2019-07-29
Imagine needing to be taught how to think
Anyone who says this is a human gash

I’m majoring in history so I can be a curator or work in education
1 TheLordHighExecu 2019-07-29
Have you looked into the pay/number of opportunities
Are you working your ass off networking and making connections
I'm being harsh because a lot of humanities kids don't realize that they have to work twice as hard as that weird smelly CS kid to get half the pay
1 Ill_Regal 2019-07-29
Don't really care about pay at all and not many connections to be made as an incoming freshman lmao.
1 TheLordHighExecu 2019-07-29
Wrong. You need to hit the ground running. Visit the career center every few weeks, if only to say hi and get to know the staff.
Find a professor in a field you like and talk to them. Nerd out about history. You'll walk out with a connection, possibly a summer internship.
1 Ill_Regal 2019-07-29
Well no shit, but I'm not even on campus yet lmao

Having a professor that can become your mentor is pretty big for history.
I was lucky enough to find one willing to do so. Too bad I was not cut out for being a researcher myself.

Everyone says that until they realize how much it sucks to be broke. Being poor isn't noble.

My first job I ate rice and beans for months :(
But now I can afford tuna 🥫

Stay broke and woke, city folk. The easiest way to money straight out of college is for farmer's only🎶🎶

Having once had a calc lecture where the professor genuinely did not speak English I support this punishment.

Will CB2ers be grouped in with SRDines on the Day of the Can?
1 charming_tatum 2019-07-29
They're way worse than SRDines. Not only do they huff their own farts, they burgle turds as well
1 reebokpumps 2019-07-29
Could someone do me a favor and explain what CB2 even is? Why are there two?

They don't know how much it sucks having a professor you can't understand because sociology is taught by white women exclusively.
Try doing an engineering degree without teaching yourself half your classes lmao

I know exactly which college you're talking about, or there is two Liberian former finance ministers teaching at separate 6000 student colleges.

Give me a state bruh
