Some time after my daughter had finished potty training (like maybe 3ish?), She yelled for me come into the bathroom one morning while I was probably in bed watching a rerun of leverage on ion. I walk in and she pulls back her beef curtains and shouted "I'M A BOY, DADDA!", as she tried to pee standing up into the bowl. It predictably turned into a literal an figurative mess. So, this is where I may have fucked up. I told her that there is absolutely no way she was a boy because she lacked a penis and she needed to sit her ass down to pee from now on.
A few years later and she is a perfectly happy, princess dressing, unicorn loving little girl. But should I have in that moment encouraged her to become the boy I secretly would rather of had all along?
