First some context. We start out with user penpractice, who posts borderline takes on r/TheMotte. Two weeks ago, he gets a last warning from the mods there. He decides to really go out with a bang with his last post there, and the self-response in particular. Mods react, and this is where it really gets going.

User Impassionata makes a post on his own sub, claiming to be him. Penpractice agrees. Mods escalate his ban to permanent.

Penpractice then edits his comment to say he was joking, and Impassionata makes similar edits as well as a new post to that effect. Would be a pretty big coincidence though: They responded here with the exact same text within literally half a minute of each other. Thats about as long as comments take to even become visible, so even aside from being monumentally retarded, penpractice would have to have refreshed and responded the second Impassionatas comment reached the world. In that response we also see our second alt, throwaway_rm6h3yuqtb, responding half a minute after penpractice.

Now on to our third alt, zionistwilliamson. He made has posts in Impassionatas frequented subreddits: unrationalism, sneerclub, and sorceryofthespectacle. Note that two of these are deleted – likely slipups. Finally we have this comment at themotte. It generally accords with Impassionatas opinions - „how do you not see deathsquads“ is very much his things, as you can see from a quick look at his own subreddit – and the quote about werewolves is from this post on unrationalism, just two days before. Furthermore, the comment is deleted when the reveals around penpractice start to avoid scrutiny.

The mods, meanwhile, are still trying to figure everything out. Anyway, props to the anon who put my attention on this.
