Good bordeax is that shit I do like. Also, the meritage stuff (bordeax but not from France) is good as well. Picked a non-branded (meritage is copyrighted) from a local NoVa winery that was great. I'm not big into wine either, but it's nice to have a good red with a steak.
I haven't experienced a large enough variety of good wine to have a strong distinction for it. I had an excellent desert wine at a michelin starred restraunt one time, that was incredible. Much better than drinking $4 red wine from the bottle

Steakhouses are a racket. Same with most burger places. I highly reccomend at least trying a michelin starred restraunt (especially if you arent paying for it)
