There is absolutely nowhere on Reddit (except maybe The Great Awakening) where stupider, sadder, scareder, or crazier comments consistently get upboats and support than this place you linked. You might think, Hey look! A place where women aren't all sucking tranny peen! Weird! But then you find out that they are scared of tranny peen, and believe that in a couple years, women who don't assimilate and get a peen themselves will be locked up in suspended cages, let down from their gibbets only to be repeatedly viciously raped and denied STEM jobs.
That place is like /r/drama if everyone here felt scared for their lives, and could only find possibly recourse in demanding mayocide and bussy. Swap our memes for 'white-female ethnosexstate now' and 'kill all men before they kill all women' and you have a pretty fair idea of their topics.
And that's where it gets interesting: they're unironically probussycide, unironically antifemayocide. Truly, /r/drama has its antithesis.
Personally, what I've found more shocking is a rumor regarding the abysmal monetary compensation of subreddit moderators (the immidiate subordinates if Reddit admins, for those unaware).
Surerly nobody would take up such a demanding job with a starting wage of $0/hr?
The ping moratorium has really messed up drama. Without ping abilities, to herd more people in, our lolcows have become arrogant and boringly complacent. And since most subs cracked down on totes, itβs almost impossible to recruit fresh talent.
Literally this title but replace admin with janny.
At least the admins are over 18 and we know their names.
15 year old power mods are in charge of default subs on the 6th most browsed site in the US, which also happens to be a major place of political discourse.
They are unappointed, they are accountable to nobody, they are not screened, they are not regulated, they are not monitored, they are not neutral.

Reminder that the Dramautists can be pinged in other subreddits over posts made in r/Drama.

And believe me: it is dangerous.

Yes, we touched on that too. He told me moderators are worth at least ten times their current compensation.

That's a lot of extra $null value!
1 KaaraRaven 2019-08-29
Don't worry, under the new compensation scheme moderators will be paid in Reddit gold, which currently has an exchange rate of... $0 per coin.

Would a bot like Totes that instead PMs a user whenever their comment is linked here be allowed? π€
1 Kat_B0T 2019-08-29
Sadly it would quickly be banned. The users hold some responsibility with extreme abuse pinging

If it was portrayed as "warning, your comment has been linked to r/drama, be wary of brigading" with a link to the thread, it might be fine. :v
