It is a hilarious own goal that reddit lefties (and some chapo-adjacent people I know in real life) hold way more contempt for someone that says "we should have some reasonable prohibitions on firearms, but the left is going too far" than they do for someone who says "everyone should be issued an AR-15 at birth."
