What was r/fatpeoplehate
49 2019-09-22 by CommissarCletus
Fatass janny mods like to lock threads when people call a lard a lard and reference it as a trump card of some sort. Was it really bad or was it just shut down because the 400+ reddit admins didn’t like people making fun of their people?

They got the boot for stickying the dox of Imgur employees in retaliation for having their image hosting cucked iirc. This was before you could upload images to Reddit directly and everyone just used Imgur instead.

Even the dog was fat.
1 slugulon 2019-09-22
It wasn’t dox it was a photo that imgur posted themselves

They got banned for the only reason any sub gets banned: they were bad for business.

fph honeslty wasnt that bad in terms of harassing/breaking sitewide rules that got other subs banned
it got banned because it was brutally honest about what it was, and didn't try to cover it up like holdmyfries
fph was also unironically a phenomenal sub, i never posted there, but i read it regularly, it was consistently hilarious.

They got banned because they put the staff photographs of chubby Imgur.com staff on their sidebar in retaliation for images in FPH posts not being included in whatever the Imgur community system was.
Stupid stunt over a non-issue.

Serious post: FPH was a main factor I lost 100+ pounds, and so was loseit (most of it is boomer shit now). I enjoyed it a lot.
whoops I mean, dude bussy lmao.

Congrats. Only 400 pounds left to go. You're gonna make it.
1 TwitchSubSlinger 2019-09-22

They got banned for the imgur debacle. They posted something with all the imgur admins and had a title that said "even their dog is fat" after imgur started removing FPH posts. They pinned this on the sidebar and then got banned after.
I used to talk to the head mod of FPH pretty regularly and he didn't really give a shit about fat people at all but rather wanted to create the biggest shitstorm he could on the site and I'd say mission accomplished. He tried a few others but nothing else gained traction as far as I know.

why do you ALWAYS have the worst opinions
1 Coonass_alt 2019-09-22
Lose weight.
1 GeauxHouston22 2019-09-22
that sub was the same 50 posts just being re-circulated over and over again all day every day. it was probably decently funny the first year or so
go into /fit/ today and check out their /fph/ threads and it's the same repetitive garbage. fuck fatties but also fuck unoriginal 'tards as well
5 Matues49 2019-09-22
moid fatties coping by making fun of ever bigger (femoid) fatties

Actually it has the highest proportion of female users of all large subreddits, maybe even a majority. Of course techbro owners wouldn't let it stand.

They were fucking morons who did shit like go the sewing subs to make fun of people minding their own fucking business. Then, when admins told them to knock it off, they put some retarded chick in a potato sack dress she'd made 'all by herself' in their sidebar. If the mods had done their jobs instead of playing the fool for the mouth breathers in their sub, they might still be here.

Oh, I left shit out. The girl's cousin, or something, had written to the FPH mods asking them to stop harassing her niece, and the mods stickied her message and then put the picture of the girl in the sidebar. I mean, you could tell the girl was 'special' by just looking at her. You would have thought the mods would understand, from experience, how it felt to be teased because you're retarded.
1 Corporal-Hicks 2019-09-22
kindof want to start a sub called r/retardpeoplehate

Me when I joined fatpeoplehate: 280 pounds.
Me when I left FPH: 145 pounds.
It was the best sub to motivate my weight loss: self-hatred.
1 SymboIicCyanide 2019-09-22
It was just a place to share gifs, pics, etc. of disgusting fat pigs and then talk about how much you hated them.
I truly believe that most people have an inbuilt hatred of fat people, so FPH never fueled that. All it did was make me realise that fat hatred was shared, and it wasn't just me.
1 Whaddaulookinat 2019-09-22
Fph I'm almost positive was a proana group tart only got big because Tumblr gave self harm posts the boot. Timing matches up.
1 911roofer 2019-09-22
It was a glorious and wonderful subreddit dedicated to bullying hamplanets, lardasses, and landwhales.
1 BasicallyADoctor 2019-09-22
Throw back to when I made this post which was one of the reasons it got banned.. what a shame http://archive.is/npz0Y
1 Mayos_side 2019-09-22
Nice.
1 Metatron58 2019-09-22
they went more than a little overboard in their zealotry tbh. Thing was anyone who wasn't stick thin was somehow a landwhale according to them.
That being said it was fatpeoplehate so you knew what you were in for. If it's still around fatlogic was better but like 95% or more of reddit was just r/thathappened entertaining stories.
0 Mayos_side 2019-09-22
It sparked a revolution that snowballed and eventually led to Donald Trump.
1 SymboIicCyanide 2019-09-22
This.
Would landwhale Trump ever got momentum if FPH was around to point out how fat he was? I doubt it.
I wonder if some of the Trump social media money went on making FPH go away, knowing his obesity would have been prime target for hating.

It's a well known fact that spez is a nazi.
