They call Dramanauts, Autists. Autists... easily duped, will believe anything, and by the time the destruction is upon them, one or more of their family has been captured and turned against the team. "/r/Drama has served us well...," one captor gloated.
I’m always amazed how few people know about Gamergate. It’s not only the key to understanding so many violent harassment campaigns going on today, it’s lots of the same people angry about the same stuff using the same playbook.

There are criticisms that could easy be leveled at the flick, it was middle of the road
I hate the fact that it's impossible to tell whether a film is mediocre or "okay" or "good" now if it gets caught up in social media culture wars because it either has to be a masterpiece or the worst thing ever depending on which side the speaker is on. It's like film discussion developed BPD
There was a surprisingly good review in some publication that I didn't expect it from, I think Slate maybe? Anywho, they addressed all the culture war outrage, and then went on to say that the film was just alright. The specifics of what they liked and didn't like aren't important, but it was super refreshing to read such a measured review from a "yikes dog" publication.

I love how the reviews the "critics" barf onto paper keep drifting farther and farther from what audience reactions are. It's getting to a point where the only reasonable thing to do is pick a consistent critic, then go see every movie they dislike and avoid every movie they praise.

It's worth a watch. It's barely capeshit. I also went partly just to spite the wokescolds and I enjoyed the experience (even the armed security guard who was posted up in the theater lmao)

There are criticisms that could easy be leveled at the flick, it was middle of the road, but juvenile? That doesn't even make sense.
1 MagicHoudini 2019-10-08
Exactly. I can see the weakness angle, with it’s first part flip flopping and being too blunt with the mental issue angle, but juvenile? Cmon

They’re not reviewing the movie, they’re reviewing the fanbase.

A lot of the smaller outlets seem to be praising the film, youtube channels in particular.
The NYT, Washington Post, and Salon (lmao) reviews are particularly out of touch.
1 Burnnoticelover 2019-10-08
Wall Street Journal liked it.
1 Giulio-Cesare 2019-10-08
WSJ is pretty decent tbh.
1 TheColdTurtle 2019-10-08
WSJ rated it rotten, and said "dont watch this this isnt a super epic funny movie"
1 boyoyoyoyong 2019-10-08
Even movie reviews have gotten political in the current year.

To be fair calling someone that is probably the biggest insult imaginable
1 whenweriiide 2019-10-08
I have zero interest in capeshit, but at this point I'm probably going to see it to spite these culture police dweebs.
Anyone here see the movie yet? Any good?
1 JustLions 2019-10-08
I think it's worth it just for Joaquin's performance. Set and costume design are fun.
There's something off about the movie though, weird pacing and somewhat incoherent theme. I guess bad editing?
It's barely capeshit, you could remove all comic references and not even notice.
1 whenweriiide 2019-10-08
Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks boys
1 collectijism 2019-10-08
Its mind blowing will stick with you your whole life. The most moving deep movie in cinema history

Its the most powerful piece of cinema since raging bull.
1 freet0 2019-10-08
Is Raging Bull the title of you wife's sex tape?
1 TheColdTurtle 2019-10-08
It is a FILM with a capeshit sticker on it
1 Burnnoticelover 2019-10-08
“I’m not offended by Joker (even though anyone with an ounce of taste should be), it’s just juvenile, uncreative, and immaturely nihilistic. simply not a good film.”

Coap
1 Babybear_Dramabear 2019-10-08
Why are the media and critics on such a tear about this movie? Everyone I know who saw it liked it .
1 freet0 2019-10-08
Ofc it is. It's capeshit isn't it? If they had any balls they'd say the same about marvel
