Having read all 324 pages, I do have to say that this is fascinating, even if it doesn't have anything to do with child sex trafficking or satanism.

What makes them interesting is that one member had been a secretary for the CIA and others made trips to North Korea, North Vietnam, and the Soviet Union. The CIA (but apparently not FBI counterintelligence) monitored the investigation, so clearly they had some interest in the group.
Maybe they were using their female members who worked as secretaries in Washington to spy for the Communists. Maybe the CIA was using them as what us professionals 😎 call a "dangle", someone who goes to a foreign intelligence service and pretends to spy for them but is really trying to pass on disinformation, learn what questions the adversaries are asking, or just waste their time. Maybe both. They also ran some kind of quasi-private investigation business and apparently liked to brag to potential clients that they were tied to the intelligence community.
The conclusion I reach is the same one that the Washington DC police detective did, that they were a bunch of tryhard losers who desperately wanted to be involved in the world of espionage, and they managed to work their way into the periphery of it. But without much access to useful information, you just can't ever be that valuable of a spy. Also they were perverts and really bad at parenting.
That's an great theory but the kids weren't kidnapped and 99% of what you imagine about MKULTRA is fantasy. 🙄 The truth here is actually interesting so there's no reason to invent a bunch of hocus pocus Harry Potter imagination land nonsense.

in the end they just abandoned it for no reason saying "no further investigation or action taken" which is a pretty weird thing to do when you find a child raping cult
The kids were being neglected pretty bad but they didn't turn up any solid evidence that they were being molested. Unfortunately in this country we don't take away people's kids just because they're disgusting hippies.
