Retcon means retroactive continuity. It's a sub for timelines that no longer exist but people remember, presumably. It's used in media when they reestablish an older piece of information of a series in order to accommodate new information. For example in DC/Marvel they often have timeline erasing, universe reshaping/destroying or just non-linear reboots. They do this because characters have to die for plot to exist. So every 10 years or so the companies will just destroy the universe and start over. When talking about characters and someone says: Does spiderman have the power to talk to bugs still? The reply will be: No that's retconned it was a power like 15 years ago. Universal reboots are well understood but soft retcons are something else. Sometimes character 1 will say character 2 was at a certain place at a certain time. Then 50 episodes down the road it will be revealed he was somewhere else and the first sentence was misdirection. This most likely was not planned but a use of retconning in order to either fill plot holes, advance the plot in the way they want that's most useful to them or simply because they feel the old information was bad.
An easy example of a retcon is dragon ball super. Dragon ball GT no longer exists and super starts at the end of Z. GT was retconned out of existence because it was bad.
The Mandela Effect is a phenomenon where you remember events incorrectly. Schizos and internet conspiracy tards sometimes take this as "the timeline shifted".
I have survived by making people laugh by cracking stupid or witty jokes. They keep me around because I amuse them. But I don't truly fit in, just enough to survive and get a paycheck! They are adults with the minds of children, people who will downvote you for disagreeing with their moronic hivemind over even the slightest thing. They are the inquisition, they are the puritans. They seek to punish anyone who contradicts their insane thoughts. They are not good people. Good people do not behave with the lynch-mob mentality of redditors. They will happily destroy anyone’s life, and then wash their hands of the whole thing without even the slightest thought. No one respects the people here. No one will ever listen to the people here but the clickbait scum of the internet. You deserve to be hated. This place deserves to never make even one penny of legitimate profit. You are scum. You will always be scum because you reinforce each-other in your scumbaggery. You make the societies you live in lesser just by existing. You radicalize others with your scumbaggery on both sides. The world would be a better place if none of you had ever existed.
Streaming is the dumbest thing to ever get popular that I hope this venture does as much damage as possible to the entire platform. I will support any and every cause to nuke all streaming platforms. It was a mistake to dabble in these dark arts, and it must be dealt with.
