I can barely type, so bear with me. I will try to add more details later. Typing this from a half-charged iPhone instead of my normal computer keyboard.

Large portions of California’s power grid have been powered down, again.

Who is to blame? It is difficult to say. At first I thought it was PG&E’s fault like everyone else. Everyone has been blaming them for paying dividends instead of maintaining the power lines. Bernie was quick to call for the state to seize ownership of utilities, but if you dig deeper you will find that PG&E had a great plan to trim trees from the lines, and they even had $500 million buckaroos just sitting there, waiting to throw at the problem. But then (probably liberal) environmentalists threw a fit and monkey-wrenched the shining, golden opportunity to NOT send Cali up in flames.

I don’t know if PG&E or the environmentalists are more to blame, or if they are both at fault. All I know is that I am shivering in the dark with no way to heat my home. I’m anti-vax, so I was fortunate enough to catch the flu in time for the blackout. So on top of the cold temperature, I also have fever-chills and no effective way to warm up my body enough to fight off the virus. I can barely talk, type, move, think or breathe.

The streets are pitch black, absolutely dark. If the lights were on, I would probably see homeless people and street criminals doing God knows what, because I also happen to live at the center of several organized (and disorganized) crime operations. Legalized marijuana sounds fun in theory, but the people who come packaged with it are less so.

If I had the strength, I would go to Wikipedia and edit PG&E’s controversy section to include their involvement in the Erin Brokovich fiasco. I just learned that they were behind that too. I don’t know how that could be missing; I think they probably edited it out. I’m going to start calling them as Pacific Gas, Electric and Hexavalent Chromium Company.
