The thing I hate about ok boomer is that zoomers legitimately think it’s an epic ‘rise up’ moment. Like they’re getting back at those damn boomers for oppressing them for so long.

See, that's not statistically happening. That average age of CEOs and upper management is getting older and these people are tending to stay on duty longer, and this trend is expected to grow in the next few decades.
There are 2 main reasons, one being medical care keeping people alive, mostly healthy and competent longer and the other being a lack of replacements showing any real competency.
Especially in the younger millenial and z ages, the education and leaderships skills just aren't there or showing up. Of course there are exceptions, but statistically across many fields, the younger millenials and upcoming z crowds just don't have what it takes.
