It's fucking insane how many people boil down the civil rights movement to throwing aimless tantrums at no one in particular.
Like there was actually a lot of organization, planning, optics management, etc that King did that was vitally important to the success of the movement.
Dumb white foids want to feel like they're freedom fighters without putting in any of the actual work.
Facebook made it way too easy to organize meaningful protests. Now you can find literally any problem in the world to protest about and have people cheering you on as you block streets for some vague baseless protest temper tantrum.
Hahahahaha, you're in college and you still spend your time like this! This internet troll shit is for lonely 14 year olds, not adults.
The rest of your life is going to be lonely and boring if this is what you do with your time during what should be your most exciting years.
Before you know it, college will be over and you'll have no ability to make new friends because you don't have anything interesting to talk about or any way to meet new people. If you're not able to make friends now when it's literally the easiest it will ever be, there's no way you're going to swing it when you're even older.
No one takes you seriously if you’re wearing a tshirt, a silly wig, a snarky sign and... smiling. People who smile are either happy or retarded.
You want people to think you’re retarded? Fine. You want people to think you’re not really serious about the cause you’re marching for because you’re smiling? Then keep it up because you’re not helping.
As annoying as BLM was to everyone who wasn’t black and already mattered, it was admittedly really effective. Cops wear body cameras, Bernie Sanders let them do an impromptu rant at his rally that ended up providing him clout with young black folk (I can say that because I’ve attended a fish fry or two), and Kapernick got a fairly large payout from his former masters.
What did Occupy Wall Street get in the end? Everyone was reminded of how much hippies and the counter culture movement sucked, identity politics became a thing, and the banks went right back to being banks. What did the annual Women’s March end up getting? It got IdPol’d and fizzled out and Etsy stores were left with a stockpile of cross stitch pink vaginas.
Protests aren’t supposed to be a fun way for LARPers to spend a Saturday afternoon because those outside the protest will see through your lily white smile and know you aren’t that serious.
It has been 3 0 days since the letter from a Birmingham jail needed to be quoted
When you've spent hours studying the works of Martin Luther King but all of it was rereading these same two paragraphs hundreds of times on reddit. 🐟😎🐟
They take the only quote of his that they can use and twist it to fit their own narrative. It's gross.
They totally ignore every other thing that the man has preached. Even funnier, they totally ignore that MLK jr was ultimately successful in his goal with the help of the white moderate, not in spite of them.
I love that they think something becomes automatically true if you quote it. Like damn well MLK said it must be true. But besides that what he’s describing isn’t a fucking moderate lmao
Lol at the guy literally comparing this shit to the civil rights movement. The only reason it was successful was because it had a clear end goal and had leadership that meticulously organized every protest to have the most impact. Activism is more than mayos blocking cars and demanding nothing in particular.
It's jarring how white people have a complete inability to comprehend how their actions and behaviors affect how others view them.
The expectation that being a complete ass in public will automatically rewards support. How can adults be this childish? Have they never heard of optics?
The one group the wokies hate the most isn't men, white people, or cishet people, it's the working class. The working class whose livelihoods depend on showing up to work on time. If they really wanted to effect change, they would be vandalizing and targeting the rich and powerful, instead they're all like "hey now Birmingham jail that means you can't criticize our tactics"

its like they looked at protests of the past and only took away that they were disruptive
fuck a coherent message or a plan or a way to get people on your side, just be obnoxious

They're really just into it for the social media pissing contest of seeing who can come up with the wittiest quip to put on a sign.

And after all of that shit the best they can come up with are overwrought Harry Potter quotes.

they only gave cops body cameras so they could stop all the dumb protests every time a black guy robs a store and tries to punch a cop and gets shot
