It might be okay, maybe. They are still shoving random obscure shit in our faces so we know it’s Star Wars, but less so and they usually aren’t plot points. The carbonite thing was dumb, ending bigger dumb. IG-88 was kind of funny, better than any of the humor in new films.
Characters are kind of interesting and the shoot-out was the first combat scene that drew me in since like Empire. I’m unimpressed of course but these are legitimately huge accomplishments for the IP. We’ll see how they handle a strong start.
