Boy I sure do love having to spend dozens of hours leveling a character every time I want to try a new build. And then that build literally revolves around spamming a single skill. Such exciting and engaging gameplay

I'm sorry but if it takes you "dozens of hours" to roll an alt, that is your fault, not the game's. A dozen hours is widely agreed go be an average time to reach maps at league start, and there are tons of 1c uniques that make the leveling trivial. Skilled players do that shit in sub 4 hours SSF and sub 2.5 hours with twink gear. And even if your build requires one of the handful of truly build enabling items that requires level 84+ that's only a handful of extra hours in Blood Aquaducts or low maps. Seriously if it takes you 24 or 36+ hours you are doing something wrong.

And when was you played PoE? People were begging the devs to add more skill slots for over a year. Pretty much every single build can use multiple skills these days. A main damage skill, a movement/fortify skill, a buff skill like PCoC OoS, Blood Rage or arcane surge, a debuff skill like Frost Bomb/Wave of Conviction or anything with CoH, a focus buff, a guard skill, a totem. That's 7 skill slots pretty much any build can fill. And if you want multiple main damage skills, you do that too. Frost Bolt/Ice Nova, ED/Contagion, Rainbow Traps, Summoners, etc.
