Meanwhile, the South receives subsidies from California dwarfing complaints in the EU (the subsidy and economic difference between California and Mississippi is larger than between Germany and Greece!), a transfer of wealth from blue states/cities/urban to red states/rural/suburban with federal dollars for their freeways, hospitals, universities, airports, even environmental protection:

Man this reads like a salty Chinese astroturfing attempt

Calexit

Literally a Russian psyop.

And here's why that's a good thing

I fail to see the problem

Oh please let it happen, I might have problems looting and pillaging from innocent subsistence farmers half the world over but you bet I could steal shit from Californians

Where the lie?

Calicel detected. when's your next brownout anyway?

That even though they have a massive economy by virtue of sitting on pretty much every shipping port to China, their state government is a over trillion dollars in debt but everything looks peachy on paper because it's not time to pay the piper yet.

And a fifth of the populace lives in poverty.

Have you ever actually been to the South? It’s basically a third world shithole country. I’m not a fan of California but let’s not bullshit ourselves.

Yes but there's no Kafkaesque housing crisis so all the bums can squat in condemned houses and vacant trailers instead of shooting up right on the sidewalk and throwing their shit at passing Karens.

There’s no housing crisis because nobody wants to actually live there. Anybody with any sense or economic mobility moves away as soon as they can.

Urbanization is causing housing crises in pretty much every state but California has reached unsustainable levels, you have to have a six figure job just to afford a hovel. I've got to deal with that shit because unfortunately 90% of jobs in my field have moved to major cities in the last decade, it's that way for a lot of people too. I think it's just industry prestige and easier talent poaching that motivates it. Either way I envy the man who can buy five acres of land in Montana for a months rent in Tenderloin, food trucks, concerts, and cocktail bars are overrated.

Yep, and the more jobs move to those hotspots, the more the rest of the country gets hollowed out and poorified, which means more people leave, which means everything keeps getting worse. Fuckin shit sucks

When did I say the South is any better? The South is shit, and so is california.

They’re both shit but like is 20% normal? If it’s not then it’s not worth calling out is it? I dunno I don’t know any numbers and I’ve had way too much vodka to formulate any kid of coherent argument but it feels to me like it’s much less good anywhere else which isn’t saying much.

And something like a quarter of all homeless in America live in Cali.

California sucks but that poster isn't exactly wrong

rich states make more money govt gives that money to poor states

sounds like some economic ideology i have heard before

Fuck Californians btw

Isn’t pizza shill from California.

lol no that boy is 100% angry deep south redneck in denial.

That’s true. Forgot the story about his neighbors in the trailer park.

He is Floridian to the core

Pensacola pizza

A downvote from a commie is the equivalent of an upvote from someone with braincells. So thanks, man.

They're still posting that study about Texas having the highest maternal mortality rate even after it was found to be complete horseshit years ago

california #1 btw

Smh at Americans thinking their states having different fast food places makes them "culturally distinct".

You are all the same.

Day of the EMP when?
