It must be weird as hell to go insane. I have a friend who is bipolar and an undiagnosed schizophrenic. He thinks his neighbors are constantly spying on him and fucking with him and poisoning his water. That helicopters are watching him. That everyone is out to get him. Hardcore conspiracy theorist. When he gets into a manic state he told me he feels like he has superpowers. And then he goes nuts and makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy. His neighbors now hate his guts and do fuck with him. The sheriffs won't even come out to his house anymore because they know he's insane and it's just more proof that there is a conspiracy against him. And when I tell him he's a fucking lunatic and needs to be on medication suddenly I'm the bad guy. I used to go on those gangstalking and mandela effect fourms and try and talk some sense into them but they don't want to hear it. It's kind of sad. It's like telling a tranny that they aren't actually a real woman.
That's what his wife does. I used to do that a little bit when I didn't know how bad it was and I thought there might be some truth to the stuff he would tell me about but encouraging the delusions just makes it worse. If he was having delusions about some happy, well-adjusted shit I'd go with it but it's always about some negative, paranoid shit. He's pretty much ruined every interpersonal relationship he's ever had because nobody wants to hang out with a psycho and then he uses that as more evidence that everyone is against him. I think big pharma is evil and everyone is overmedicated but this nigga really needs to be on some antipsychotic drugs or something.
Yeah well real life isn't the internet. I don't need people I actually associate with being psychos. His wife is kind of crazy too. I've been friends with the guy for 10 years but I've pretty much disassociated with him at this point. We worked together all summer on a really stressful job and he had multiple nervous breakdowns. I don't need someone making an already difficult job harder because they can't keep it together.
