There was one lady like a year ago that got a ton of abuse from the Pittie fans. Neighbors pits got her Collie in front of her and kids by busting fence and dragging it through, kids recorded her going over the fence and actually killing both with a kitchen knife to try and save her dog, neighbor was rural and didn’t try to start shit iirc.
I’ve seen basically all the nannying videos recorded, including dozens that have been y’all’d from the web, and that is the only time I’ve seen someone take decisive action. People are just not good with this kind of thing.
Yeah, as much as I'd like to say I'd put the pit down with a shovel if it attacked my dog I'd be foremost concerned with trying to save or at least scoop up the remains of my dog before I became the John Wick of garden tools.
My boyfriend and I adopted a pit who's an absolute peach 99% of the time. She's successfully interacted and played with other dogs of all sizes but we've learned the hard way that she's SUPER territorial. I've had to literally punch her in the face and pry her jaws apart to retrieve a small dog from them that she was definitely going to kill. He ended up with a small puncture wound but he was fine.
I wouldn't have her put down, I really just should have been keeping a closer eye on things when the tiny dog was around.
My brother has an autistic pibble that's fucking insane. The last time I was in town visiting I kept hearing giant splashes coming from the pool. Went outside and saw a bunch of outdoor furniture in the pool.
Turns out the dog was literally grabbing furniture with this mouth (really heavy shit, too,) dragging it all the way to the pool, and then throwing it in. I ended up watching him for a few minutes because it was entertaining as shit.
He was out there doing it for hours. If anyone went outside and fished a piece out of the pool and put it back, he'd just throw it back in a few minutes later.
Motherfucker also has no coordination whatsoever, so whenever he tried to make a small two foot leap onto something he somehow manages to spin around mid-air and land on his back and bounce off the thing.
He's legitimately autistic, and once I find the video I took of him throwing shit in the pool I'll post it here.

I’m pretty sure she was some sort of mix because she was just small enough to be manageable like this, I never had any worries of not being able to control her because I could always just pick her up and walk away. She was literally an idiot and would always try to fight and growl at dogs bigger than her, like when she was six months old she literally scared off three giant dogs as puppy just growling at them. My brother in law has a 100 lb monster and if that fucker were trying to kill something I’d just have to wait for it to get over. Like he sometimes is happy to see you and tries to jump up like a normal dog, and it’s like getting pounced on by a lion. His tail is like a fucking whip and is painful when it whacks you, he’s that strong. I’m not a huge fan of him but my brother keeps him because he lives in the country, he wants a big strong dog to scare off illegal hunters that always prowl near his property. Also while we’re walking in the woods he like to bring him along because that dog could actually stand a good chance against a hog. I really wish he would’ve gotten a female or at least a male with his nads cut off though, that dog makes me nervous. He’s a bred catch dog and they’re supposed to have the human aggression bred out of them, catch dogs have to be huge and aggressive of course but at the same time if they show much aggression towards their owner they’re not much use obviously, no hunter wants to get mauled by this giant ass beast. So the lines are supposed to be bred to put down any of them that growl at their owners or breeders or show any aggression, they’re separated from illegal bred fighting dogs with whom aggression just isn’t a big concern when breeding them. But still he makes me nervous, that’s the only dog I’ve ever been around that I’ve felt like I’d just have no chance if he turned against me. Lmao.

Huskies in general are very weird dogs because they’re bred purely to exaggerate their chase instincts as much as possible. Because that chase instinct is what is basically used to get them to run endlessly for sledding. They have very muted instincts regarding every other part of the hunting process, like they don’t really have any instinct to follow up once they’ve actually caught what they’re chasing, and go in for the kill, they just want to run forever. This of course makes them bad hunting dogs, they will just chase the pray and if they catch up will just keep on running on confused at why it’s no longer playing with them. And they’re really bad guard dogs too even though they look big and tough, they’ll just run up to the burglar and then run around him, they don’t have much fear of strangers or instinct to keep them out of their abode. They will defend themselves when they’re attacked and their owner when their owner is physically attacked, and that’s about it.
