It feels like discussions of privilege become much more complex when dealing with multiple intersecting identities and should not be used as a one size fits all to compare people of different identities. It is easy to say why a man has more privilege than a woman or a white person has more privilege than a person of color but it is difficult to compare the life experiences of a black man and a white woman and say which one has had an easier time in society on average as the problems they face are different based on the intersection of their identities. The article is not even about race or gender, but class lines.

Sometimes when people speak of privilege, they make it sound like a single number that is put on a person based on the various identities they have and use this to compare against other people like some sort of credit check system. In reality, its more like each person has different privileges and disadvantages they face when dealing with society.....

......It is wrong to say that one is fully more privileged than the other with no context of the situation but rather each person deals with different levels of privilege due to the nature of their identities.
